My name is Nat Ballou.  I am a Masters student at Seattle Pacific University in the Digital Education Leadership program.

I am a 30-year veteran of leading software companies and an expert in storage technologies and artificial intelligence. I held senior technical positions at Microsoft, AT&T, NCR, and Digital Equipment Corporation, as well as co-founding a software, mobile startup.  I spent over 17 years at Microsoft in numerous leadership roles gaining expertise in Microsoft’s MSN, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Windows, Bing, Office365, XBOX, and security products.  I am currently a part-time instructor at LWTech.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science / Math from Dartmouth College and graduated summa cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa. I also have a Master of Arts Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

I live in the Seattle area with my wife and son. All three of us are tennis players, sailors, and bicyclists.  I am passionate about improving computer science education in our higher-learning institutions.
